I think he will go to a club not because of financial reasons, but of making the right club for that stage in his career. This won't be Liverpool, it will be Hull most likely, or a place where he is guarenteed that he will get first team football.

And he didn't get first team football in Newcastle?

As a fan, I actually didn't like Michael much. Fine, he's still bitter Keegan walked (again) or whatever, but every game he played looked like he did so half-heartedly. The only reason we played him, in my opinion, is that we tried to get as much out of him, considering how much was paid for him those years ago.

Yes but you have to see it from his point of view, that he needs to rekindel his spirt with good-performances. Now that could happen at Newcastle, but it would mean much more to his international career if it happened in the prem.

I'm not bitter that he left, but I am on HOW he left. He was captain for almost the entire season, and he jus' left without saying nothing.

I remember after relegation, no one heard anything from him. Next thing anyone knew, he was trying to work a deal with Everton.

Apparently he wasn't going to get a new deal at Newcastle, due to his wage mostly I would have thought.

Has he actually gone anywhere yet?
